Why can't I receive very large files in my email.

Our mail servers will allow up to 25 MB for incoming and outgoing email messages. This is set globally.
If you intend to exchange files larger than 25 MB on a regular basis then we recommend creating an FTP login and using that as a download source for your files?

1. To set this up you will first need to log into your website through FTP and create a directory specifically for this purpose.

A. For Windows Users:

i. FTP to your website by entering ftp://yourdomainname.com into the address bar for Internet Explorer. (replace yourdomainname.com with your actual domain name)
ii. Create a new directory where the files will be uploaded.

B. For MAC Users:

i. FTP to your website using your FTP program. If you do not have an FTP program you may download and use Fetch (free download here: http://fetchsoftworks.com/).
ii. Create a new directory where the files will be uploaded.

2. Log into the SiteUtil Control Panel at http://www.siteutil.com. You may need to verify if your plan allows for multiple user accounts (http://www.hostdepot.com/Products/Hosting/Shared/Compare.asp).

3. Under the NT User accounts section, create a new User ID, with the same name as the directory you just created. Keeping the username and the directory name the same will allow that user to log directly into that particular directory. This is a great feature if you will be sharing this user account, in that others will not be able to view the files on your website.

4. Once you have created the user account, select the Folder Permissions option from the menu.

5. Select the new username from the User ID list, select List Folder Contents and click Set Permissions. Click ‘return to SiteUtil’ at the bottom right of your screen once the set permissions process is complete.

6. Now you will need to click on the new directory name from the directory tree and then select the new username once again from the User ID list. From the Permissions list you will need to select Read/Write then click Set Permissions.

To test uploading of the new configuration, connect to your site using FTP and login with the new username and password.
