Drupal Install Problems - Stuck on database page

When running the install script for Drupal, make sure to set the permissions for the anonymous user to read/write for the Drupal folder. If you don't, the system won't be able to save the database settings in the sites/default/settings.php file and you will be stuck in a loop trying to setup the database.

Make sure to set the permissions back to read only after the installation is completed for security purposes.

When entering the database information, make sure to enter the database server name and not localhost. This is hidden under advanced options.
