Follow these steps:
- Open Microsoft Outlook.
- Click on the Tools menu.
- Select Account Settings.
- Select New.
- Put a check in the box next to Manually configure server settings or additional server types.
- Click the Next button.
- Click the radio button next to Internet Email.
- Click the Next button.
- Type the name to display on outgoing mail messages in the Your Name field.
- Type the email address being set up in the Email Address field. For example, johnsmith@att.net.
- Choose POP3 from the Account Type field.
- Type mail.hostdepot.com in the Incoming mail server field.
- Type smtp.hostdepot.com in the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) field.
- Type the full email address in the User Name field, including domain. For example, johnsmith@att.net.
- Type the account password in the Password field.
- Put a check in the box next to Remember Password.
- Select the button for More Settings.
- Choose the Outgoing Server tab.
- Make sure the box next to My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication is checked.
- Click the OK button.
- Click the Finish button.
