We are submitting to directories and not a traditional search engine. As a
result, your keywords will not work in the same way they would in a traditional
search engine. Search engines survey the entire Web, using user-created meta
tags, doorway pages and keywords to categorize and prioritize the search
results. Unfortunately, Web-page builders often use a variety of techniques to
artificially manipulate their listings and this inevitably leads to poor search
results for users.
A directory, on the other hand,
only searches its own database of high-quality sites that have been individually
reviewed and categorized by human editors. Meta tags and other key wording
technology do not affect these listings. Directories believe this keeps the
margin for error and for exploitation to a minimum. It also allows them to keep
objectionable material, such as pornographic content and violent or offensive
material, out of our listings.
